A 5C collet spin indexer is an extremely useful fixture that may be used in the
horizontal or vertical position on a milling machine to machine features with
angular or radial reoccurances.
A 5C spin indexer allows transferring work from the lathe to the mill and vice versa
if the lathe is outfitted with a 5C collet chuck or a 5C collet block chuck.
A 5C spin indexer may be used in conjunction with a boring head to accomplish
ball turning or radius cutting on a lathe.
